Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct for Aged Care (the Code) is a legislative instrument made under the Act. It sets out the behaviour expected of My Way and My Way’s workers when delivering funded aged care services.

All My Way governing body members, key personnel, and workers (including volunteers, subcontractors, and independent contractors) must comply with the Code when delivering funded aged care services under the Support at Home program.

My Way must take reasonable steps to ensure that My Way’s workers are aware of, and comply with, the Code.

My Way must also take reasonable steps to prevent and respond to breaches of the Code by My Way’s workers.

The Code applies to all interactions with care recipients, their supporters, and representatives.

Breaches of the Code may result in compliance action by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.
